The 2014 Games will be the 20th Commonwealth Games, which represents one of the world’s great multi-sport tournament events. Held over 12 days in the Summer of 2014 it will see the participation of thousands of athletes, watched by up to 1 million spectators. The city of Glasgow was awarded the Commonwealth Games in 2007 and Ticketmaster was appointed as the Official Ticketing Services Provider in 2013 as part of a competitive tender process. It will be the largest multi-sport event ever to be held in Scotland. Ticketmaster’s success was based on our proven pedigree in major events ticketing, including the London 2012 Olympics and our marketing power.
